Oh wow! My most favourite family holiday ever was travelling with my parents and brother from the Gold Coast to Tasmania. We stayed at Cradle Mountain Lodge and spotted a wombat from our cabin window. Magical.

Love love love the wombat picture, it brings back so many wonderful memories.

Captain Fernaux named it Bay of Fires when he saw smoke from numerous fires along the coastline lit by the Aboriginies. It could be from many things though!

Well I live in Hobart, but I might add one in. Yes HCM was packed very tightly. I might do a post just on that at some time. It is certainly the most tightly packed city I have experienced, even compared to Hong Kong.
